Step 1: Ask yourself where your pictures are and where you'd like them to be

It used to be that we would take a roll of film, wait patiently for those 24 pictures to get developed and then put those photos in a box or a photo album. Now we take hundreds if not thousands more photos in any given week or month, and we have instantaneous gratification because we don't have to wait for the pictures to be developed. In fact, we might take several more of the same pose in the same location because we are not constrained by anything other than the amount of storage we have on our phone or camera. The result? More photos than ever before, stored on our phone or computer, with hopes that they will not be lost over time due to technological changes or disorganization (or worse, a computer crash!) I don't know about you, but my pictures mean too much to me to take this lightly! I want them to last for my lifetime and beyond, the way my grandfather's precious scrapbook has because he took the time to tell his stories!
